1. Who we are
Blue Digital Solutions ("we", "us") provides IT support, security, email, website, search, AI and software services. We are the responsible party for the personal information collected through this website, and we handle it in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA).
2. What we collect
We only collect what you choose to send us, plus the minimum a website needs to work:
- Enquiry form: your name, email address, phone number (optional), the service you're interested in and your message.
- When you contact us directly by phone or email: the details you share in that conversation.
- Server logs: our web host records technical details such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, to keep the site secure and running.
We don't use analytics, advertising or tracking tools on this website, and we don't build profiles of visitors.
3. Why we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and give you the information or quote you asked for.
- To provide and support the services you take up with us.
- To protect the website and the enquiry form from abuse and spam.
We will not use your details for marketing unless you have asked us to, and we never sell personal information.
4. Cookies
This website sets one cookie, and only on pages with the enquiry form (Contact and the service pages): a session cookie (called bds) that protects the form against forged submissions and repeated spam. It contains no personal information and is deleted when you close your browser. Because it is strictly necessary for the form to work securely, it doesn't need your consent.
5. Who we share it with
Your information is only shared with service providers who help us run our business, such as our website host and email provider, and only so far as they need it to provide that service. They are required to keep it confidential and secure. We may also disclose information where the law requires it.
6. How long we keep it
We keep enquiry details for as long as we need them to deal with your enquiry and any work that follows, and for any period the law requires (for example, for tax records). After that, we delete or anonymise them.
7. How we protect it
The website is served over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, and we use reasonable technical and organisational measures to keep your information safe from loss, misuse and unauthorised access.
8. Your rights
Under POPIA you may:
- ask whether we hold personal information about you, and request a copy of it;
- ask us to correct or delete information that is inaccurate, out of date or no longer needed;
- object to us processing your information;
- lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator (South Africa) at inforegulator.org.za.
