Remote Support
Get help without waiting for a technician to arrive. Share your screen with Chrome Remote Desktop or AnyDesk while you're on the phone with us.
Not sure which? Call 076 577 3646 and your technician will tell you.
About 3 minutes
A few clicks from opening the tool to sharing your screen.
Free tools
Chrome Remote Desktop and AnyDesk are free for this. Nothing to buy.
You stay in control
Nothing happens until you accept, and you can stop at any time.
Two free tools
Let us connect to your computer
Your technician will tell you which one to use. Both are free, and both only work while you allow it.
Chrome Remote Desktop
Google's free screen-sharing tool. Works in Google Chrome on Windows and Mac, in about three minutes.
-
Go to the Chrome Remote Desktop page
In Google Chrome, type remotedesktop.google.com in the address bar, press Enter, then click Share my screen.
-
Click the blue download button
In the Share this screen box, click the round blue button with the arrow pointing down.
-
Click "Add to Chrome"
A Chrome Web Store page opens. Click Add to Chrome, then Add extension.
-
Open the downloaded file and install it
Click the file at the top or bottom of Chrome, then Yes or Install if Windows asks. Nothing else on your computer is changed.
-
Click "Generate Code"
Back on the same page, click the blue + Generate Code button.
-
Read the 12-digit code to us
Read it out over the phone. It works once and expires in 5 minutes.
One last click
Once we enter your code, a small box appears showing our email address. Click Share and we can begin. Nothing happens until you click it.
Ending the session
Click Stop Sharing at the bottom of your screen to cut us off immediately. Chrome also asks every 30 minutes whether you still want to share.
Is this safe?
Yes. We can only connect when you generate a code and click Share. You see everything we do, and Blue Digital Solutions will never call you unexpectedly asking for remote access.
AnyDesk
A small free app for Windows and Mac. On Windows it runs without installing, in about two minutes.
-
Go to the AnyDesk download page
Open anydesk.com/downloads in your browser and click Download Now. Only ever download it from anydesk.com itself.
-
Open the downloaded file
Click AnyDesk.exe at the top or bottom of your browser, then Yes if Windows asks. It runs straight away; there's nothing to install. On a Mac, open the file and allow the permissions AnyDesk asks for.
-
Find your AnyDesk address
AnyDesk opens with your address, a 9- or 10-digit number, under Your Address on the left (older versions say This Desk).
-
Read your address to us
Read the number out over the phone. It's only your computer's address: nobody can connect unless you accept.
-
Click "Accept"
When we connect, a window shows our name and asks for permission. Click Accept. Nothing happens until you do.
-
Watch, and disconnect any time
You see everything we do. Click Disconnect, or close AnyDesk, to end the session immediately.
One last click
When we connect, AnyDesk shows a request with our name. Click Accept and we can begin. If you don't recognise the request, click Dismiss.
Ending the session
Click Disconnect in the AnyDesk window, or simply close AnyDesk, to cut us off immediately.
Is this safe?
Yes, as long as you only accept while you're on the phone with us. Never give your AnyDesk address to someone who calls you out of the blue; Blue Digital Solutions will never do that.
